Years after marrying Polly Keller, Sean Norris remains emotionally distant. It isn't until Polly discovers the pictures on his computer that she realizes she has been nothing more than a stand-in for his stepsister, Liana Norris. Sean not only ignores Polly's injuries while tending solely to Liana, but he also readily believes Liana's lies accusing Polly of indecent behavior. And when both Polly and Liana are abducted together, Sean chooses Liana over her.
