Story of the series
Yuna, a civilian werewolf gifted with healing powers, spent seven years of her youth meticulously caring for her lover Damian's "paralyzed" mother, silently waiting for him to keep his promise to claim her. However, a sudden blizzard revealed the cruel truth: Damian had long been married and had children with Nova, a pureblood heiress, and Yuna was nothing but a free tool for him to solidify his Beta status. Heartbroken, Yuna burned their unofficial mate bond and resolutely turned to Caleb, the border patrol captain. The iron-willed and unruly Caleb risked his life to secure an official Mate Recognition Decree certified by the Council for her. In the end, Damian became a powerless puppet and fell into utter disgrace in the power struggle. His desperate plea for reconciliation was flatly rejected, while Yuna built a peaceful and happy life on the border with Caleb and their twin pups.
