STORY

Story of the series

Seeking a promotion, Stephen Hayes takes his family to a jewelry store to pick out a gift for the CEO's wife, Mrs. Sterling. Enabled by grandma Shirley, son Luke Hayes lifts a woman's skirt and steals drinks and jewelry, causing chaos. Yet, grandma just shrugs it off and takes him away. Stepmother Audrey apologizes, but Stephen Hayes scolds her for overreacting. Outside, Luke Hayes vandalizes a luxury car. Shirley praises him and viciously insults the pregnant owner, Lauren, cursing her unborn child. Little do they know, Lauren is the CEO's wife! Ultimately, Stephen Hayes loses his job and falls into massive debt, and Audrey divorces him. While fleeing, Shirley and Luke Hayes run a red light and are killed by a car, leaving Stephen Hayes in endless remorse.
