Story of the series
Eva Thorn had always used extreme methods to force her daughter, Sophia Johnson, to study. After Sophia failed her college entrance exam, Eva lashed out at her relentlessly, pushing her to the brink—until Sophia jumped to her death. It was only then that news came she had actually been accepted into Crestwick University. Overwhelmed with guilt, Eva took her own life. After being reborn, Eva decided to change the way she loved her daughter. She no longer pressured Sophia to study, but protected her in every way possible. She stood up to her overbearing sister-in-law and completely severed ties with the Johnson family, who valued academic performance above all else.
