Story of the series
Raised in the slums, Chloe Walsh was forced by her parents to earn a living. She accidentally saved mafia don Enzo Bianchi and had a one-night stand with him, later conceiving his child. Faced with harassment from vagrants and pressure from her parents, Chloe intended to turn to Enzo for help. Yet rumors spread that Enzo, suffering from sexual dysfunction and having no heir, harbored fierce hatred toward women and children and brutalized pregnant women. Fearing she and her unborn baby would be killed, Chloe kept her distance. Still, Enzo learned of her pregnancy and sent men to hunt her down. While hiding, Chloe ran into her father hounded by drug lords over gambling debts. The gangsters tried to assault her, until Enzo showed up just in time.
