A thousand years ago, a cataclysmic battle broke out at the border of the Underworld. Nektos, the descendant of the Underworld King, had his divinity shattered and was on the brink of death. Sephia, the direct bloodline heir of the Spring Origin, split her own godhood core into two halves, implanting one half into his chest to stitch up the cracks of his tattered soul power. The price she paid was falling from the rank of Main God to a demigod, and she spent the next thousand years quietly running the Underworld as the Queen of the Underworld, with no soul ever learning her true identity. A thousand years later, the demigod Minta stole Sephia's pomegranate crown to pass herself off as the savior who saved Nektos' life. Nektos believed her utterly: he burned down the daffodil fields that had sustained Sephia's life for centuries for Minta, even slashing open Sephia's chest with his death scythe to seize the remaining half of her godhood core, and publicly stripped her of the title of Underworld Queen. Helian, the descendant of the Sun God, split open the sealed dome of the Underworld to rescue Sephia, brought her to Olympus, and sustained her weak life with his own pure divine power day and night. The Pantheon Council soon announced Sephia's true identity as the source of all spring, and the news spread rapidly back to the Underworld. Nektos found the half godhood core embedded in his own chest cracking, and completely broke down after he traced out the full truth of the past. He threw Minta straight into the deepest layer of the frozen hell, dragged his already shattered divine body to climb the Heavenly Path to beg for an audience with Sephia, only to be rejected face to face by Helian. When rebel forces in the Underworld launched a coup to seize power, Nektos signed the abdication edict, with his only condition being that a single daffodil seed be planted on the scorched wasteland of the thousand-year-old battlefield. In the end, he cast a forbidden secret art at the exact spot where he was saved a thousand years prior, sacrificing all his remaining life force to condense the half godhood core and return it to Sephia, before falling into the eternal void forever. Minta later escaped the abyss with the stolen divine power and launched a full-scale attack on Olympus. After Sephia reclaimed her long-lost godhood core, her power was fully restored, and she ripped all the stolen power out of Minta in a single strike, bringing the misappropriated energy back to its rightful owner. Helian guarded by her side without stepping back through the whole battle. The three realms of heaven, mortal world and the underworld were fully rejuvenated afterwards. Sephia presided over the grand All-Living Ritual, and walked hand in hand into the warm bright sunlight with Helian. Deep in the endless silent void, a wisp of Nektos' remaining fading consciousness keeps repeating the same line for eternity: "Have the daffodils... bloomed? Did anyone... bring them to her?" No response ever echoes across the vast nothingness.
