The Forgotten Mermaid

The mermaid Rachel was sent by the tribe to seduce the human CEO Maurice in order to protect the group. She truly cared, but was instead subjected to five years of hell. Every winter, Maurice, pretending to be in a state of amnesia, would lock her in a freezer, subjecting her to freezing torture, destroying her hands, all in an attempt to punish her for another mermaid named Jacqueline. Her brother Samuel returned to land, in a state of decline and near death, but was rejected and died in front of her, his remains being trampled upon by humans in a live broadcast. However, the tribe leader secretly preserved his consciousness and falsely arranged for a cremation, using a medical chamber to sustain his life. Rachel completely broke down and requested to erase all her memories. A year later, she approached the new man Broderick with blank emotions. Maurice knelt in the icy rain, crying and begging for reconciliation, but she simply replied coldly, "Psychiatry is on the left."
