STORY

Story of the series

Kathryn, a wealthy heiress from New York, hides her identity and cares for her paralyzed lover Carlo for seven years, giving up everything for him. However, after Carlo recovers, he reconciles with Monica, his ex-fiancée who abandoned him when he was disabled, mocking Kathryn as just a maid. Heartbroken, Kathryn cancels Carlo’s crucial surgery and reveals her identity to return to her wealthy family. Her brother severs all business ties with Carlo’s family, leaving Carlo’s career ruined and his legs permanently paralyzed. Monica abandons him again. Kathryn resumes her studies and meets Jackson, a gentle and devoted heir who accepts her past. They fall in love and get engaged. Eventually, Kathryn graduates with a master’s degree and marries Jackson in a grand wedding, finding true happiness, while Carlo spends the rest of his life in a wheelchair, filled with regret.
