Samuel, a broke student who had been betrayed by his girlfriend, accidentally bought a knockoff phone that connected to the heavenly realm and the underworld. Through it he struck up a rapport with the Earth God and mastered peerless medical arts, humbling his romantic rival on campus before saving the beautiful Paisley from his own department. While hiking, he rescued a little white fox named Adeline, who later transformed into a girl to repay him and stayed constantly by his side. In time, he was appointed Inspector of both the human and spirit worlds, and through cultivation he overcame every crisis that came their way.
