STORY

Story of the series

Eighteen years ago, Rose, kept by Charlie, left him decisively upon learning of his impending arranged marriage. She fled abroad and secretly gave birth to their son, Damian. Eighteen years later, now a lawyer, Rose returned with Damian to handle a sexual assault case, only to discover the defendant was Charlie. Mistaking Damian for Rose's young, kept lover, Charlie clashed repeatedly with his unknowing son. Their long-buried misunderstandings and unresolved feelings resurfaced. Though Rose and Charlie could never forget each other, their reconnection faced constant sabotage by Janice. The "rival" misconception persisted, placing Rose in peril, yet she couldn't resist reconnecting with Charlie. When Janice's schemes failed, she staged a car accident, gravely injuring Damian. This crisis revealed Damian's true parentage to Charlie, reuniting the family. Charlie and Damian then joined forces to bring Janice to justice.
