The Oath and the Lie

Nestor, husband of Silver, went to war alongside his twin brother, Neville. During the conflict, Neville was killed while saving Nestor. To honor Neville's dying wish of caring for his sister-in-law, Nestor assumed Neville's identity. He planned to have his sister-in-law bear him a child before revealing the truth. However, he completely disregarded Silver's own devotion, pushing her to the brink—she endured being sold into a brothel and brutally hung for seven days and nights, yet she still refused to submit. After eventually rescuing her, Nestor brought Silver home, believing his deception was flawless. Unbeknownst to him, however, fate intervened, and Silver stumbled upon the shocking truth.
