Their Forgotten Daughter Was a Genius

My twin Jessica was always the daughter my family chose. She got the money, the best room, my brother's protection, and even Andrew, the boy I loved. Then Mom took the $5,500 I had saved for eighteen years and bought Jessica a bracelet. They still believed I was the family's average daughter. They did not know I had scored 1590 on the SAT. By the time a reporter exposed the truth at Jessica's celebration, I was already on a train to Miami. But distance did not stop them. They cut my phone, brought cameras to force a public reunion, and later used my research success to claim they had supported me all along. This time, I kept the evidence—and the camera stayed on.
