In 1982, a young boy named Lin Sui'an from Wayao Village was forcibly expelled from his home by his stepmother. Wandering aimlessly, he stumbled into a cave in the rugged Black Wind Ridge and accidentally acquired the ability to travel through time and space, along with a tattered cloth bundle capable of storing items. Using these newfound powers, Lin brought the authentic flavors of a simpler time—wild fruits, mushrooms, and homestyle dishes of the 1980s—into the bustling cityscape of 2026. There, he helped Su Muyan, the CEO of the Su Corporation, recover from struggling with severe anorexia, and the two struck up an unlikely partnership. With the resources of the modern era at his disposal—such as grains, fertilizers, farming machinery, and irrigation equipment—Lin returned to his drought-stricken village and transformed it into a thriving community. Under his leadership, Wayao Village began to flourish. Time and again, he thwarted the schemes of his stepmother, Liu Guilan, and the wealthy heir Zhao Tianyu, cherishing and safeguarding his grandmother and the villagers. As Lin navigated between the two worlds, he and Su Muyan grew closer, their bond deepening with each passing challenge. Over time, Lin transformed from a frail young boy into a confident "time-traveling tradesman," balancing his responsibilities to both his 1980s hometown and his modern-day ventures.
