Too Late, Clair Collins

Years ago, Jake Hudson entered the Los Angeles business school on a Collins family scholarship. During a fraternity incident, he was rescued by Clair, the eldest daughter of the Collins family, and developed feelings for her. However, a drugging plot led Jake to mistakenly enter Clair's room. To protect the family's reputation, the elder Collins arranged a contract marriage between the two, while secretly entrusting Jake with investigating a traitor within the corporation. During the marriage, Clair misunderstood Jake's scheming nature, becoming cold and distant towards him, even allowing others to humiliate him. Jake, however, remained patient, concealing his feelings, protecting Clair while silently contributing to the corporation. Three years later, Jake, believing he had repaid her debt of gratitude, decided to leave. Only then did Clair realize that Jake was not only not the mastermind behind the poisoning incident but had also made significant contributions to the corporation. Feeling deeply guilty, she began to pursue him. She gradually discovered Jake's resilience and independence, as well as his deep affection for her.
