Story of the series

An extremely cold and desolate world suddenly descended. Zombies were rampant. Chen Mo worked tirelessly to build a shelter for his cousin Chen Lei, but he was betrayed by his cousin and forced to leave. He only managed to take a box of expired instant noodles. His family begged for shelter but were trampled upon. Well-prepared Chen Mo led his family into a secretly built cave fort. With abundant supplies, strong defense and meticulous planning, they were able to safely withstand the extreme cold and zombies. However, the arrogant and wasteful Chen Lei and his family's shelter was repeatedly broken into. They went from a life of luxury to being desperate refugees.
